Micro Metalsmiths is unique in its range of in-house production capabilities. Its assembly facility uses many techniques in addition to the casting and machining technologies available.
These include precision forming and bending facilities, numerous joining and finishing processes, and automated assembly.
These allow the designer to choose the most advantageous construction method, whether it be for a simple bend, complex OMT, rotating joint, or complete waveguide front end, for air, sea, land or space application.
Depending on the type of product, assemblies can be joined in various ways; flame or dip brazed to BS1723, soldered, welded, mechanically fastened or adhesive bonded. All assembly work is supported by qualified electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure designs are realised in an effective manner.
