Combline bandpass filters are suitable for a variety of purposes in the medium bandwidth range from UHF to X-band. They are very compact for a given frequency, resulting in units which are small, light and rugged.
The lower stopband extends down to DC, whilst the upper stopband can be made free of spurious responses up to five times the passband centre frequency. Combline filters are inherently stable with temperature, but if necessary temperature compensation can be incorporated into the design to give excellent stability in extreme operating environments.
Advanced computer design and production techniques ensure good repeatability and optimum performance. Construction is in high conductivity copper or aluminium alloy, and the units can be supplied with coaxial connectors or with encapsulated pins for direct connection to microstrip assemblies.
